“When the law no longer protects you from the corrupt, but protects the corrupt from you – you know our nation is doomed,” wrote Ayn Rand, “Atlas Shrugged.”
Every day brings vehement vigor to the current presidential election! It is anyone’s guess as to what will have transpired on the election front before this column breaks.
If you have been keeping up with the latest news, you know that FBI Director, James Comey, is now under fire by the President Obama administration and the Clinton Camp because he went over the head of Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and sent a letter to Congress on Friday, October 28, to report that his agency was reopening the investigation of the national security relating to Hillary Clinton’s private email use that has been under scrutiny for months by the FBI. Many citizens still believe she broke the federal law and should have been indicted.
One wonders, will the Clintons remain in the privileged, upper crust class of American politicians who are exempt from following the laws of the land? Or, can you imagine how sad it would be if the first woman president of the United States is eventually impeached?
ABC news report
According to an ABC News report last week, Lynch had advised Comey not to tell Congress that new emails had been found during another investigation the FBI was conducting and that these emails could be “potentially pertinent” to the investigation into Clinton’s private, unsecured email server, which she used almost exclusively when she was Secretary of State.
Comey had told Congress a few months ago that the FBI had investigated all of Clinton’s email and that she would not be indicted for any criminal activity despite her use of private emails when she was Secretary of State. Many citizens then felt Comey had been under political pressure not to indict Mrs. Clinton.
Hillary Clinton can blame herself
The Obama administration, including the Department of Justice, has refused to pursue any legal matter against their political cronies that was brought forth by Congress during their eight years in power. And, it is time the American people pay attention. Hillary Clinton got herself in this mess and now she wants blame the FBI.
Sir Walter Scott’s quote written in 1808 is the perfect verse that describes anyone’s propensity to fabricate their way through life. What a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.” (Sir Walter Scott.)
The emails causing the latest national crisis in the presidential election were discovered recently when the FBI began investigating emails on former Congressman Anthony Weiner’s laptop when they were seeking information about alleged charges that Weiner had sent an illegal sexually oriented text messages to a 15-year-old girl. Weiner is the estranged husband of top Clinton aide, Huma Abedin, who is also Hillary’s close friend.
Director Comey was required to report any new information about Mrs. Clinton’s email investigation to Congress and that is what he has done.
The FBI is in the business of protecting the American people, not the political system.
Yahoo News points out probable cause is judicially correct
Yahoo News pointed out that Comey followed the federal law when he informed Congress of the FBI’s latest emails.
The law is addressed in 18 U.S. Code § 1519, and mandates, if information found in the new emails indicates probable cause exists that Huma Abedin or Hillary Clinton have broken the law, and the FBI knew it, Director Comey would be the one who would be libel. The Code says:
“Whoever knowingly alters, destroys, mutilates, conceals, covers up, falsifies, or makes a false entry in any record, document, or tangible object with the intent to impede, obstruct, or influence the investigation or proper administration of any matter within the jurisdiction of any department or agency of the United States or any case filed under title 11, or in relation to or contemplation of any such matter or case, shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.”
Hillary Clinton’s advocates are outraged about Comey’s announcement. Attorney General Lynch and President Obama support Hillary. They are flabbergasted by Comey’s transparency to Congress and the American people.
Should the information on Weiner’s private emails further indict Hillary and her private email practices that put the American people at risk, and she loses the election, the Clinton Camp can blame Comey! He will be the bad guy and lawbreaker.
It is time Hillary Clinton pays for the consequences of the Clintons’ tricky political activities because she believes the Clintons’ are outside the law. I would feel the same way about the Clintons’ if they were Republicans.
Judicially speaking, the judge who issued the FBI a warrant to search the Weiner emails, has read details in the emails to find enough probable cause to permit the FBI to investigate – that is how a Democracy operates.
