For Possible Action: Acceptance of $29,453.00 grant, source funded from the Office of Criminal Justice Assistance through the Nevada Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles for law enforcement activities related to off-highway vehicle laws and regulations, to be used to purchase Search and Rescue ATV and trailer. This grant is 100-percent funded (requested by Sheriff)

13. For Possible Action: Acceptance of $63,343.00 grant from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety, to be used to purchase mobile electronic citation devices. LCSO cost share is approximately $12,700, to be funded from inmate telephone account (requested by Sheriff)

14. For possible action: Acceptance of $29,500.00 grant from the Office of the Attorney General, to be used to conduct compliance sweeps of registered sex offenders. This grant is multiyear money, and is 100-percent funded (requested by Sheriff)

19. For Possible Action: Approve contract for entertainment services at the Lyon County Fair & Rodeo with McClain’s Mobile Music (requested by Comptroller)

20. For Possible Action: Create in the County General Fund an account for the support of the office of the county coroner pursuant to NRS 259.025 (requested by Comptroller)

21. For Possible Action: Accept FY16 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Discretionary grant in the amount of $18,000 (requested by Human Services Director)

22. For Possible Action: Acceptance of FY16 Community Service Block Grant award in the amount of $118,970.00 for the Family Development Program (requested by Human Services Director)

23. For Possible Action: Acceptance of FY16 Family Resource Center grant award in the amount of $41,240.00 to provide Family Development support (requested by Human Services Director)

FORREST STORAGE / BLUE RIDGE ENTERPRISES, LLC – SPECIAL USE PERMIT (for possible action) – Request for a special use permit to expand and/or enlarge an existing recreational vehicle storage facility with the addition of a building; located at 25 Heppner Drive, Mound House (APN 16-183-31) PLZ-15-0025

        Planning Commission Recommendation: The Planning Commission unanimously moved to recommend approval of the Special Use Permit for Forrest Storage – Blue Ridge Enterprises, based on the findings recommended by staff and subject to 18 approval conditions

For Possible Action: Propose an Ordinance amending Lyon County Code Title 10 – Land Use Regulations; by amending: Chapter 4 – Nonresidential Districts, adding Section 11 – SCMU, Suburban Commercial Mixed Use District; to establish the standards and criteria for the new Suburban Commercial Mixed Use Zoning District; and other matters properly related thereto (requested by Community Development Director)
